LEADERSHIP

I wrote this to a GBC member:

The impression of many devotees I know is that the GBC cares only in words, by nicely written resolutions. Not in practice.

And the GBC seem to not care at all that so many devotees are not trusting them and leaving the movement due to their not walking their talk.

To me the dismissive and defensive  attitude of the GBC members to concerns of devotees about  adharmic or criminal  activities in ISKCON is not even human, what to speak of being devotional.

It's easy to shut people up. But I don't believe it pleases Srila Prabhupada.

I believe every GBC has a very strong mind and no one can argue with them.

Time will show, but I am afraid this kind of leadership will destroy ISKCON.

BHAKTI TIRTHA SWAMI ON RAISING CONSCIOUSNESS

BHAKTI TIRTHA SWAMI ON RAISING CONSCIOUSNESS For someone like Bhakti Tirtha Swami, karma has very little to do with his sojourn in the material world. A person who works on behalf of God functions according to different laws altogether. Depending on just how devoted to God they are, such persons are not forced to take birth, nor do they die because of a predetermined action/reaction schema. Rather, they come into this world to help others, to share love of God and to encourage people to raise their consciousness. They are emissaries of the Divine, and their business in the material world, though externally appearing much like anyone else's, is of an entirely different nature. So, too, is their death of a different nature. They leave when they hear the call of the Lord, when His divine flute signals them that there is work to do somewhere else. Black Lotus, Chapter 9 Try to visualize the torment that others immersed in awful situations are forced to undergo. Meditate on the kind of ...
